Strength Development

Monday & Wednesday

Strength training at The Movement Center is designed to develop a persons structural integrity and power output. Deceivingly simply yet effective, each strength sequence utilizes whole body movements and principals of leverage and balance to regulate intensity. Our strength days are designed to develop as much of your body in the least amount of time as possible. We believe your body should be trained as a whole unit as opposed to individual parts. This type of strength focus will help your body make connections where needed and develop greater strength throughout your entire kinetic chain.    


Joint Prep/Mobility

Tuesday

The Joint Prep class is designed to prepare an individuals joints and soft tissues for the demands of everyday life. We focus on activating and building strength in the smaller, stabilizing muscles creating a safer range of motion and greater overall stability in the joint. This class is extremely important for people of all ages and is a great way to mitigate injury. Mobility is developed in the same way we develop strength, through weekly progressions and modified intensity.  Active and passive flexibility drills are used in each class to make a more limber and strong human being. Each session will challenge a persons range of motion though individual and partner assisted drills. You will leave feeling open and connected!


Movement

Thursday

Our movement day is designed to help you move more efficiently. Our movement games and drills will help you develop the proprioceptive qualities needed to move and play more efficiently. One of the more unique classes offered, this class is a lot of fun and challenging! Expect to play around on the Pommel Mushrooms, catch sticks as they fall, test your skills with wall ball and much more!


Open Gym

Friday

Open Gym is a time to train and practice your craft at your own pace. Coaches will be available to help so don’t hesitate to ask!

Need to do some self myo-fascial release? Come grab a lacrosse ball or foam roller and start your recovery!

Need to get better at the cartwheel you just learned? Utilize 1300 sqft of padded floor and crash pads to practice safely and effectively!
